Jake

In December 2021 local creative business people were given a reusable-disposable camera to capture 25 images about what makes Beechworth special to them.

Jake Lancaster and his partner Liv Cartledge run Tiny in Beechworth. Tiny is a tiny cafe (they're very clever) serving up delicious coffee, pastries and jaffles. They just won best jaffle in Victoria for their pulled beef version! Jake and Liv also run The Guard in Yackandandah and a newly opened food truck called Big Dog Doggies.

In addition to his multiple hospitality businesses (is it too soon to call him a mogul?) Jake designs for his clothing company No Clue Co . He is a proud advocate for mental health and 5% of all profits from No Clue Co are donated to mental health charities. Jake grew up in the area and loves how vibrant Beechworth is. There's a creative vibe here that draws in interesting people.

Jake is a talented photographer in his own practice and his images were a testament to his eye.

Amandhi

In December 2021 local creative business people were given a reusable-disposable camera to capture 25 images about what makes Beechworth special to them.

Amandhi de Silva of Amandhi's Cafe epitomizes Beechworth's warm and welcoming community. She serves fresh, delicious and local breakfasts and lunches Wednesday to Saturday.

Amandhi's images focus on the community and natural enviroment surrounding Beechworth. As a business woman Amandhi is very focused on the environment and sustainability. She often ventures into nature to forage for ingredients at the cafe.

Following our photoshoot she headed up to Stanley to pick Mulberries which made a delicous appearance the next day in a tea cake.
